There may be some small problems in the daily use of hydraulic pumps. These small problems may usually be neglected, while they may affect function of the pump if the situation degrades. In fact, these small problems can be diagnosed simply. Here are some tips:
Visual diagnosis method
Observe the operating situation of the hydraulic system with eyes, observe the pressure value and temperature change situation at each pressure measurement point of the hydraulic system and check whether the oil is clean and whether the oil is sufficient. Observe whether oil leakage occurs to the hydraulic valve, pipe joint, end cover of the hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic pump transmission shaft, etc. Observe products machined with equipment or the performance test carried out to identify the operating status of the running mechanism, stability of system pressure and flow rate as well as the working status of the electromagnetic valve.
Audio diagnosis method
Judge with ears whether the hydraulic system or elements can work normally. Hear and judge whether big noises happen to the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic system; Hear and judge whether abnormal sounds happen to the overflow valve or other elements; Hear and judge whether large impact sounds happen when the workbench changes its direction; Hear and judge whether there are sounds that the piston impacts the bottom of the hydraulic cylinder.
Tactile diagnosis method
Touch to feel the temperature with hands and observe the working status of the running component. Touch to feel the temperature of the shell of the hydraulic pump, the outer wall of the oil tank and the shell of the valve. The normal temperature should be around 55℃. In case of more than 60℃, reasons should be found out. Touch the running components and oil pipe with hands to feel whether there are obvious vibration.
Olfactory diagnosis method
As regards the hydraulic veneer reeling machine, the operator can smell whether unpleasant odor happens to the hydraulic oil. If it is empyreumatic, it reveals that local heating happens to the hydraulic pump and other hydraulic elements, which results in burning of the hydraulic oil and smoke. So, the heating position can be judged in such a way. The operator can smell whether the hydraulic oil is of putrid odor or pungent and spicy odor. If yes, the hydraulic oil has been polluted severely and cannot be used anymore.
